Vinaigrier - make vinegar from your wine leftovers!
Vinaigrier 2
Traditional French-Style Vinaigrier - make your own wine vinegar!

Individually hand-thrown and kiln-glazed vinaigriers, no two of which are identical. These beautifully finished, hand-made pots are produced at a small Derbyshire pottery and are quite
unlike other commercially-manufactured, two-piece "cast" versions. A beautiful, yet functional item of furniture to grace any kitchen worktop, with the added bonus of never having to buy expensive wine vinegar again! It also makes for an unusual gift.

Have you ever wondered what you could do with those wine bottle ends and dregs, or wines that you simply don’t like? Make your own delicious wine vinegar, of course!
Vinegar has been made from wine
for centuries, by a microbiological process that turns ethyl alcohol into acetic acid. Our 3 litre capacity stoneware vinaigriers are individually hand thrown on a manually powered “kick-wheel” at a small pottery in Derbyshire.
VinaigrierMade in a traditional French style, no two vinaigriers are identical. The blue and green iron oxide glaze formulation is also unique and produced within the pottery. Kiln firing to 1,280c makes them extra tough as well as attractive. The taps, or “robinets” are produced by an independent craftsman and imported directly from France. The vinegar making process is very simple and full instructions are included. All you need is some leftover wine and a little patience. The vinaigrier makes for an unusual, yet functional gift and will certainly create a focal point in the kitchen!

Note:
Bottles and wine are for illustration purposes only, and are not included with the Vinaigrier.
