Clear mid gold, with green tinges. A classic petrolly/mineral Riesling nose, with hints of lime zest, butter and apricot. The palate is medium weight, with lemon and stone fruit flavours and a touch of creaminess which adds texture. Mineral, lemon and lime flavours linger on the finish. Although essentially bone dry, it is somewhat richer and less austere than many typical Trocken wines - still quite delicate and identifiably German, but with a nod towards Alsace. This is a lovely wine, which is drinking well now, but will age for a good 10 years yet.

Bright gold/yellow colour, with a classic nose of lime zest, peach, wet slate and a hint of petrol. The palate is delicate and light and packed full of fresh, zesty lime and lemon flavours, with hints of stone fruits and seville orange. Whilst there is the merest hint of creaminess and residual sugar, it is countered by a thrilling mineral and citrus acidity that fairly dances across the tongue – a wine of great balance. The length is considerable and that gorgeous acidity stays with it all the way. Even at 5 years old, this wine will continue to evolve and improve for at least another 10 years - but why wait? It is so delicious now! It is textbook M-S-R Kabinett, and absolutely wonderful stuff. Serve it well chilled.

Medium-deep gold/yellow colour, with lime green glints. A nose of wet stone and mineral with attractive grassy/herbaceous notes. The palate is rich and full of restrained power and immense depth of flavour, with intense, zesty lime and lemon flavours and delicious, minerally acidity. There are further notes of apple, peach and kiwi fruit - a complex array of flavours, with wonderful length and fine balance. This is utterly mouthwatering and delicious right now, but will undoubtedly benefit fromcellaring for a further 5 to 10 years. A great Riesling and a fantastic bargain.
