Drink Lovely to drink now, but will age nicely for a few years
Bright, pale gold colour with green tinges. The mousse is very fine, lively and long-lived, whilst the nose is considerably complex for a young, recently-disgorged sparkler, offering aromas of lemon and lime, apple, spring flowers, freshly baked brioche and a suggestion of mixed spice. The palate is essentially bone dry, with mouth-watering, lemony acidity, but also a touch of fruity richness and impressive intensity of flavour - and an equally impressive length on the finish. Forget your dodgy deals on cheap, mass-produced supermarket Champagne with disingenuous discounts - this wine offers much better quality - and value for money.

Tasting note by The Wine Gang - April 2010
"A blend of the local sparkling speciality grape Mauzac and Chardonnay, this has a bold lemony colour and a nose of lemon and apple, with a tiny leafy note. On the palate the mousse is delicate and so is the wine, with refined citrus flavours and a hint of sweetness swept up in crisp acidity. Not complex, but delicious and stylish. 87/100"
