Mature deep gold/yellow colour. Aromas of tropical fruits, spices and vanilla. Some secondary floral and herbaceous notes (pea pod, asparagus) also appear, along with gunsmoke and flint aromas, reminiscent of a fine Burgundy. The tropical and herbaceous notes are also present on the palate, with further notes of citrus fruits and apple, all wrapped up in a layer of creamy oak vanillin. The finish is long, warming and spicy - not quite in the Burgundy mould, but a fine expression of top new-world Chardonnay. With a good degree of complexity and opulence, this is a lot of wine for your money.

Bright gold with a watery rim. A beautifully fresh, elegant nose of lemon and herb-infused fruit with subtle notes of peach, pineapple and toasty oak. The palate displays rich, gently spiced fruit, with a core of bracing acidity, courtesy of Bramley apple and lemon. Although the nose suggests tropical fruit, the palate is more European than new world in style, showing elegance and restraint. A lovely wine, with some richness balanced by wonderful acidity. A cracking wine.

Opaque purple with a tiny ruby/mahogany rim. The aromas leap out of the glass - plum, cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate, espresso oak and an intriguing note of freshly-baked bread. There is a dense core of dark fruit flavours. Soft, rich and gently tannic, with a lovely backbone of refreshing acidity. Not hugely complex, but give it time - although lovely to drink now, there is the potential for future development. The length is very impressive, with the fruit and acidity lingering long on the palate, with a touch of warming alcohol, but soft, velvety tannins. A lovely wine.
